Ivan Sanchís Pedregosa is an English and Spanish language and literature teacher graduated at the University of Seville. After his graduation he started working as an English teacher in several schools of the city with enthusiasm and good results. During the degree period he has always been in contact with North-American students that came to the city to study Spanish language and culture.

During 2007-2008 he worked as Spanish instructor at Florida International University and run the Spanish Resource Center at the University campus. The SRC is a little library in which the Education Office of the Spanish Consulate in Miami holds plenty of didactic and cultural material at the disposal of the educational community like books, movies, documentaries, games, etc. His results in this period were outstanding. He organized a lot of activities and events related with the Spanish language teaching and learning as literary contests, conferences, chat sessions at the SRC, scholarship advisory, etc.

A year later, he began his graduate studies starting with the European Official Master on Second Language Teaching and European Literature at the University of Huelva. His project went through the use of Spanish Literature in Spanish language teaching as L2 in USA. A bibliographical analysis of the editions published there with didactic purposes. Through this research it can be seen how the cultural input was introduced in the language learning process. Nowadays this is the main stream of his PhD studies. Cultural immersion is the key for success in any language learning process. It helps the students to acquire both grammar and vocabulary in a more natural and comprehensive way.

During his period in Huelva, he was teaching Spanish Literature to undergraduate students, which gave him a wider scope of the subject taught to native speakers. He also received some courses on language training and researchers’ careers management.

At the moment Ivan is totally devoted to his research activity and is also teaching Spanish to foreigners in Seville. He is working on the publication of articles and participating in congresses to improve his teaching methodology and make some contributions to second languages teaching. Ivan offers his prominent experience to all who want to participate in a definitive language learning solution.

Regarding with the part of the service that covers cultural immersion, it must be said that this immersion is not only centered on cultural aspects like history, art and literature. It consists on the client’s immersion to the Spanish life from a local and current point of view and being objective on the treatment of stereotypes created over the Hispanic societies. With all the ingredients of a Spanish native citizen’s life. Ivan comes from a business family environment and knows many entrepreneurs and business people from the city that deal with a wide range of commercial activities: services, tourism, education, university research, arts, sports, real state, communications, journalism, laws, ecology, etc.

His methodology is based on establishing multidisciplinary synergies between language acquisition and the rest of everyday activities that leads us to a very productive learning process with a full range of possibilities, but always from an intuitive scope.
